South Christian Elementary is kicking off the new school year with a heartwarming event designed to welcome students back with positivity and encouragement. On Saturday, August 17, from 4 to 6 p.m., families, staff, and community members are invited to help cover the school’s sidewalks with colorful, uplifting messages.
Participants are encouraged to bring their creativity and write inspiring words such as:
“You got this!”
“Welcome back, Dragon family!”
“Kindness starts here!”
“We believe in you!”
When students arrive for their first day, they’ll be greeted with a walkway full of bright colors and supportive messages, reminding them that they are valued, loved, and part of a strong school family.
“This is more than just chalk on a sidewalk,” said a school staff member. “It’s about showing our students that their school community believes in them from the very first step they take onto campus.”
