Congratulations to Graphic Design Scholar LaMareon Jeffers

Congratulations to Graphic Design scholar LaMareon Jeffers for having his commemorative poster design selected for the final CCHS vs. HHS soccer game! ⚽️🎨

This historic matchup between Christian County High School and Hopkinsville High School will mark the end of an era, and thanks to LaMareon’s creativity, every soccer player from both schools will receive a copy of his poster to remember this special moment.

A special thank you goes to Mr. Seeger for reaching out to our Graphic Design students and giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent through this meaningful project.

Real-World Learning Through Design

Projects like this go beyond the classroom. When our scholars take on real design work, they step into the role of a professional graphic designer—listening to a client’s request, interpreting their vision, and creating a product that meets the client’s needs.

By working with authentic clients, students learn:

  • Communication skills – understanding what the client is asking for and asking the right questions.

  • Problem-solving – balancing creativity with the requirements of the project.

  • Professional responsibility – meeting deadlines and producing work that will be shared with the public.

These experiences prepare our scholars for future careers in design and media arts while giving them a platform to leave a lasting mark on the community.

LaMareon’s poster will not only hang on the walls and be treasured by the athletes—it will also stand as a reminder of how student creativity can help capture history.

👏 Great job, LaMareon! #GatewayGreatness #GraphicDesign #StudentSuccess
