On Saturday, September 27th, the Christian County Lady Colonels basketball team once again showed that their commitment goes beyond the court. The team participated in the annual Alzheimer’s Walk, assisting with setup and breakdown of equipment before proudly completing the one-mile walk alongside other community members.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is more than just an event—it’s a movement to raise awareness and support families who are affected by this devastating disease. By lending their time and energy, the Lady Colonels demonstrated the importance of giving back and standing together for a cause bigger than themselves.
Moments like this remind us why it is so valuable for students to step outside of the classroom and support their community. When student-athletes take the lead, they set a powerful example for others to follow. The Lady Colonels aren’t just representing their school on the basketball court; they are showing what it means to be leaders, role models, and community builders.
It’s inspiring to see our student-athletes carrying this message: building a better future starts with compassion, teamwork, and service. The Lady Colonels continue to prove that true champions lead both in sports and in life. 💜❤️💙🏀
