Workforce Wednesday: Justice Hopkins Serves Up Skills and Smiles

This week’s Workforce Wednesday spotlight shines on Justice Hopkins, a Culinary student from Christian County High School/Gateway Academy, who’s cooking up success through her placement at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Boys & Girls Club.

Justice is gaining real-world experience as part of the Club’s feeding program, where she helps prepare and serve nutritious meals while ensuring students stay safe and cared for each day. This hands-on learning opportunity allows her to combine her classroom knowledge with community service—building not only her culinary skills but also her leadership and empathy.

A big thank-you goes out to Terrence Davis, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club, and his outstanding team for hosting Justice. Partnerships like these make a real impact on our students, giving them meaningful experiences that help shape their futures.

At Gateway and across Christian County Public Schools, we believe in connecting students to opportunities that feed their passion—just like Justice is doing at the Boys & Girls Club!

If your business or organization would like to host a talented student and make a difference in their career journey, reach out to me, Kelly Gates, at kelly.gates@christian.kyschools.us.

Together, we’re building tomorrow’s workforce—one student at a time.
