This week’s Workforce Wednesday spotlight features Talan Wadlington, a Christian County High School student gaining valuable work experience through his placement at Chicken Salad Chick in Hopkinsville.
Talan is learning what it takes to thrive in a fast-paced food service environment—building important customer service, teamwork, and time management skills while helping provide guests with the friendly service and quality experience that Chicken Salad Chick is known for.
Through this work-based learning opportunity, Talan is gaining hands-on experience that will prepare him for future success in any career path. He’s learning responsibility, communication, and leadership—skills that employers value in every industry.
A special thank-you goes out to Chicken Salad Chick and its team for joining the CCPS Co-op and Work-Based Learning program this year. Partnerships like these open doors for students to connect classroom learning with real-world success.
If your business would like to become part of this growing program and make an impact on a student’s future, contact me, Kelly Gates, at kelly.gates@christian.kyschools.us.
Together, we’re building tomorrow’s workforce—one student and one partnership at a time.
