Community’s Own Will Bryan Named Head Boys’ Soccer Coach for the New Christian County High School

As the community prepares for the launch of the new Christian County High School, a familiar face is stepping into a leadership role that blends hometown pride with high-level collegiate experience. Coach Will Bryan, a Hopkinsville native and standout collegiate athlete, has been named the Head Boys’ Soccer Coach for the unified CCHS Tigers.

Bryan is a fall 2025 graduate of Lipscomb University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Finance while competing at the NCAA Division I level. His collegiate journey began at Maryville College, where he made an immediate impact on the field. In his freshman season, he earned Rookie of the Year, First Team All-Conference, All-Region, and Academic All-American honors—finishing the year with 13 goals and 6 assists, an exceptional debut by any standard.

After transferring to Lipscomb University, Bryan continued to elevate his game. Over two seasons, he logged more than 2,000 minutes at the Division I level, contributing 5 goals and 5 assists while playing in one of the most competitive mid-major programs in the nation. During his time with the Bisons, Bryan was part of a nationally ranked Top-25 team, competed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, claimed a conference championship, and earned recognition on both the All-Conference and All-Region Academic Teams.

Now returning home, Bryan brings a powerful combination of athletic accomplishment, academic excellence, and a passion for mentorship to Christian County’s new boys’ soccer program. His coaching philosophy—rooted in character development, discipline, and personal growth—reflects a deep commitment to shaping young men beyond the field.

Bryan shared that soccer is not just a sport, but a tool to help student-athletes grow into strong, responsible, and values-driven adults. While he fully intends to build a program that prepares, competes, and strives for excellence, he believes that true success is defined by integrity, resilience, and the lessons players carry forward into their lives.

He expressed gratitude to district leadership and the Christian County community for entrusting him with this role. As someone who grew up in Hopkinsville, Bryan is excited to help expand the presence and pride of soccer in the area—hoping the program will inspire younger athletes and unite the community around a growing sport.

With energy, vision, and a heart for teaching through athletics, Coach Will Bryan is ready to build a program that reflects both the competitive spirit and the character-driven mission of the new Christian County High School.
