On December 6, 2025, Gateway Sports Medicine scholars took part in an exciting, hands-on learning experience that showcased advanced medical technology and real-world application.
During the lesson, students demonstrated their understanding of knee anatomy using the program’s newly acquired diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound system. Scholars explored real-time imaging, identified key anatomical structures, and practiced interpreting images—skills commonly used in sports medicine, physical therapy, and athletic training careers.
This experience allowed students to move beyond traditional classroom instruction and engage with the same tools used by professionals in the field. By applying their knowledge in a practical setting, scholars strengthened critical thinking, technical proficiency, and confidence—key components of the CCPS Profile of the Graduate.

Opportunities like this help prepare students for future pathways in healthcare by connecting academic content to career-focused skills. The willingness of Gateway Sports Medicine scholars to rise to the challenge and embrace advanced learning experiences continues to highlight the strength of hands-on, career-driven education within Christian County Public Schools.
Through innovative instruction and access to cutting-edge equipment, Gateway programs continue to empower students to explore careers, build expertise, and prepare for success beyond graduation.
