Eighth-grade students from Hopkinsville Middle School visited Gateway Academy today to get a firsthand look at what awaits them as they prepare for high school.
During the visit, students explored the career and technical pathways that will be offered next year as part of the new Christian County High School. The tour gave students an opportunity to step inside classrooms, see hands-on learning in action, and learn how Gateway pathways connect academics with real-world skills and future career options.
The experience was designed to help students begin thinking intentionally about their interests and goals before entering high school. By seeing the pathways up close, students were able to ask questions, interact with instructors, and better understand how Gateway Academy will play a role in their high school journey.
As Christian County moves toward the opening of the new high school, visits like this help ensure students feel informed, confident, and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
