Crofton Elementary Celebrated Read Across America Week with Fun Daily Themes

Students at Crofton Elementary School spent last week celebrating Read Across America Week with a variety of fun and creative activities designed to encourage a love of reading.

Throughout the week, each day featured its own special theme that helped turn reading into an exciting experience for students across the school.

One of the highlights was Hats Off to Reading Day, where students and staff wore their favorite hats while taking time to enjoy a good book. Another popular event was Hide Out for Reading Day. Students dressed in camouflage and searched for unique and cozy places around the classroom and school to curl up with their favorite stories.

The week also included Reading Makes Us Bright Day, when students were encouraged to wear sunglasses as they celebrated how books can brighten their minds and imaginations.

Each theme gave students a chance to show their creativity while reinforcing the importance of reading. The activities helped make literacy both engaging and memorable for students of all grade levels.

By turning reading into a week-long celebration filled with fun activities, Crofton Elementary continues to inspire students to explore stories, build literacy skills, and develop a lifelong love of reading.
