Gateway Sports Medicine Scholars Learn from Healthcare Leader Kevin Moser

Students in the Gateway Sports Medicine Program had the opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world experience during a special guest speaker session featuring Kevin Moser, MBA, MA, ATC-L. Moser, who brings more than 35 years of leadership and management experience in the healthcare field, shared valuable insight into the many pathways available within sports medicine. His career includes serving as a Division I Head Athletic Trainer as well as a hospital executive, giving students a unique perspective on both the clinical and business sides of healthcare. During his visit, Moser spoke with scholars about career development, leadership, and the importance of understanding how healthcare systems operate beyond direct patient care. Students gained a deeper appreciation for the wide range of opportunities available in the industry—from athletic training and rehabilitation to administration and healthcare management. Experiences like this play a vital role in preparing Gateway students for success by bridging the gap between classroom instruction and real-world application. By learning directly from professionals in the field, students are better equipped to explore their interests and begin planning for future careers in healthcare. The Gateway Sports Medicine Program continues to provide meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities that empower students to become future leaders in their fields. A special thank you to Kevin Moser for investing his time and expertise into the next generation of healthcare professionals.
