The Christian County Varsity Colonels softball team delivered a complete performance Tuesday night, earning a 6-0 shutout victory over Clarksville Christian.
Leading the way offensively was Talyn Ezell, who had a standout game at the plate. Ezell went 3-for-4, collecting a double and two singles. She sparked the offense early with a single in the first inning, added a double in the second to extend the lead, and continued her strong night with another hit in the fifth.
Christian County wasted no time getting on the board in the bottom of the first inning. Alexis Epps showed patience at the plate, drawing a walk, and the Colonels capitalized on a Clarksville Christian error to bring in two early runs.
The momentum continued into the second inning when Ezell’s double helped push the lead to 4-0, giving the Colonels firm control of the game.
In the circle, Jordan Turner was dominant from start to finish. Turner threw a complete game, allowing no hits and no runs across six innings while striking out seven and walking just one. Her command and control kept Clarksville Christian off balance all night.
Offensively, Alyssa Petterson added to the strong team effort, going 2-for-3 at the plate. Chloe Almy contributed by drawing two walks, helping Christian County maintain pressure on the basepaths. As a team, the Colonels showed discipline at the plate, earning five walks in the game.
With contributions up and down the lineup and a lights-out performance in the circle, Christian County showcased both its depth and potential.
The Colonels will look to carry that momentum on the road as they travel to Todd County Central for their next matchup on Thursday.
