The Christian County Lady Tigers faced a difficult road test at Logan County, falling in straight sets to the Lady Cougars.
For Head Coach Zach Hardison and his team, the match didn’t produce the result they wanted, but it provided another opportunity to learn where the Lady Tigers need to improve as they continue through a busy early-season schedule.
Logan County took the opening set 25-21 before creating more separation in the second with a 25-17 victory. The Lady Cougars completed the sweep by taking the third set 25-18.
Despite the loss, several Lady Tigers contributed on both sides of the net.
Peyton Owens led the Christian County defense with 12 digs while adding two assists. Kiley Lambert finished with seven kills and three digs, and Taylor Cantrell contributed six kills, four digs and four blocks.
Rheagan Bozell added five kills to the Christian County attack.
The loss dropped the Lady Tigers to 5-3 on the season, but Hardison’s team won’t have much time to focus on one difficult night. Christian County travels to Owensboro next for the Summer Slam Down, where the Lady Tigers will have an opportunity to get back on the court and continue developing as a team.
For Christian County, the next step is simple: learn from the loss, get back to work and prepare for the next opportunity.
The season is still young, and every match — including the difficult ones — gives the Lady Tigers another chance to grow.
