On May 17th, 2024, Christian County High School celebrated its sixty-fifth annual commencement ceremony, honoring the achievements of the Class of 2024. The event was marked by a series of heartfelt speeches, musical performances, and the conferring of diplomas to the graduating seniors.
The ceremony began with a processional to “Pomp and Circumstance” performed by the CCHS Concert Band under the direction of Anthony Darnall. Principal Kevin Crider welcomed the attendees, setting the tone for the evening. This was followed by the CCHS Concert Choir’s rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner,” directed by Dr. Jennifer Adam.
Senior Connor Brown delivered the invocation, and Principal Crider introduced the evening’s special recognitions. Antonio Rubio, the Senior Class President, introduced the commencement speaker, Peyton Moshier, a dedicated teacher and coach at CCHS. Mr. Moshier delivered an inspiring address, encouraging the graduates to “Journey On” with courage and resilience, a theme echoed in the choir’s performance of a song by the same name.

** Honor Graduates: To be an honor graduate, a student must have earned 27 credits, and have at least a 3.25 GPA with a minimum of 13 credits in advanced level courses, 3 being AP or college courses, and 2 credits in a foreign language.
