Students in Mr. Colton’s 2nd and 3rd block classes, along with Mr. Long’s 2nd block Sports Medicine class, had the opportunity to hear from a special guest speaker today. Beth Shoulders, an Assistant Professor from the School of Athletic Training at Spalding University, visited the classes to provide valuable insight into the field of athletic training and to discuss career pathways and college admissions requirements.

Beth Shoulders, who holds multiple prestigious roles in the athletic training field, including Coordinator of Clinical Education for the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program and Treasurer of the Kentucky Athletic Trainers’ Society (KATS), shared her knowledge and experiences with the students. She emphasized the importance of both academic and practical training for those interested in pursuing a career in athletic training. Students learned about Spalding University’s athletic training program, the educational requirements for entering the field, and the various career opportunities available within the profession.
