Lady Colonels Give Back by Supporting Jr. Pro Camp at Hopkinsville SportsPlex

During fall break, the Lady Colonels took time to help grow the game of basketball in their community by assisting with the Jr. Pro Camp/Clinic held at the Hopkinsville SportsPlex. The event, designed to teach young athletes the fundamentals of the game, was led by coaches and players from the Lady Colonels basketball team. Through their participation, these athletes showcased not only their skills on the court but also their passion for giving back to the community that has supported them.

The Jr. Pro Camp aimed to provide young players with hands-on experience and guidance from seasoned athletes, helping them build essential skills and a love for the game. Lady Colonels players led drills, shared their knowledge, and acted as mentors for the children in attendance. Many of the Lady Colonels players started their own basketball journeys in similar community programs, making this event even more meaningful as they returned to where it all began for them.

By volunteering their time, the Lady Colonels demonstrated their commitment to community involvement and youth development. Events like these not only help foster a love for basketball but also build lasting connections between the players and the young athletes who look up to them. The Lady Colonels continue to be role models both on and off the court, showing that teamwork, leadership, and giving back are key values they strive to embody.

As the season approaches, the team’s dedication to community engagement adds another dimension to their impact. It’s evident that they are as committed to helping others grow as they are to their own success on the court.
