Last week, South Christian Elementary hosted a wonderful evening of gratitude and connection with its Little Learners program. This event brought together students and their families to celebrate thankfulness and learn new ways to support young minds on their developmental journey.
Students dove into turkey-themed sensory and gross motor activities in the classroom, exploring fun, hands-on experiences that stimulated their creativity and built essential skills. From playful sensory stations to engaging movement-based activities, the night was filled with laughter and learning, perfectly capturing the spirit of the season.
While the children enjoyed their classroom activities, their families participated in a special workshop led by Amber Loren from Empowered Minds. This insightful session focused on equipping parents and caregivers with tools to teach their children problem-solving skills—an invaluable foundation for navigating challenges both in school and life. Families left feeling empowered with strategies to continue supporting their Little Learners at home.
This event demonstrated the incredible impact of family engagement in education. By involving both students and their families, the Little Learners program continues to foster a community of connection, collaboration, and shared growth.
A heartfelt thank-you to the teachers, staff, and Amber Loren for creating such a meaningful evening for our Little Learners and their families. Your commitment to our youngest scholars is helping them build a bright future, one activity and one family connection at a time.
Here’s to the power of thankfulness, togetherness, and the incredible community at South Christian Elementary.
