Christian County Public Schools recently celebrated Red Ribbon Week, an annual event aimed at promoting drug-free lifestyles and fostering healthy, safe communities. This nationwide campaign, launched by the National Family Partnership in 1985, is the largest and longest-running drug prevention program in the United States, emphasizing the importance of making healthy choices and encouraging students to take a stand against drug use.
This year’s Red Ribbon Week theme, “Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug Free,” was embraced by students throughout the district as they participated in a range of engaging and educational activities. From colorful crazy sock days to dressing up as their favorite book characters, each event reinforced the importance of being drug-free while fostering school spirit and creativity.
Through engaging activities, Christian County Public Schools have shown that learning about important topics like drug prevention can be both meaningful and fun. Red Ribbon Week continues to be a testament to the power of community, education, and shared values, helping to inspire students to take pride in making healthy, drug-free choices.
