JerMaiyia Green, a Gateway Academy and Hopkinsville High School (HHS) student, is gaining valuable work experience through the Fusion Work-Based Learning (WBL) program. This year, Zaxby’s joined the CCPS co-op program, opening new doors for students like JerMaiyia to develop essential skills while contributing to the local workforce.
At Zaxby’s, JerMaiyia is learning a wide range of skills that will serve her well in any career. These include customer service, teamwork, time management, and effective communication. She is also gaining experience in food preparation, inventory management, restaurant operations, and workplace safety. Each of these skills builds her confidence and prepares her for future opportunities.
Zaxby’s is no stranger to the capable and hardworking students of CCPS, but their new partnership with the Fusion WBL program demonstrates their commitment to helping students grow. By providing a supportive environment for hands-on learning, Zaxby’s is playing a vital role in shaping the next generation of professionals.
Thank you, Zaxby’s, for hosting JerMaiyia and giving her the chance to expand her skills and prepare for the future. Partnerships like this are what make the Fusion program a success!
