Christian County Public Schools has introduced an exciting new initiative to spotlight student voices and foster meaningful conversations about education. The Learning Lounge Podcast brings together two Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways—Teaching and Learning and Video Production—in a collaborative project that showcases the talent, creativity, and leadership of its students.
Hosted by Jaziyah Carneal, Xiyonna Reid, and Antonio Catlett from the Teaching and Learning Pathway, The Learning Lounge tackles key topics in education. The podcast features discussions with teachers, staff, and students, exploring how classrooms can be more engaging, effective, and inspiring. Each episode is a deep dive into the challenges and opportunities shaping modern education.
Behind the scenes, students in the Video Production Pathway take charge of all aspects of production. From planning and filming to editing and publishing, the team brings each episode to life with professionalism and creativity. This hands-on experience not only builds technical skills but also emphasizes the importance of storytelling and collaboration in media production.
The podcast serves as a platform for students to lead conversations, develop critical thinking skills, and build connections within the school community. With its emphasis on collaboration, The Learning Lounge highlights the innovative programs offered by Christian County Schools and the opportunities these pathways provide for real-world learning experiences.
