The Christian County Lady Colonels saw their season come to an end in the Girls’ 2nd Region Tournament semifinals, falling to Crittenden County 63-47. Despite the tough loss, the Lady Colonels put together an impressive year, proving themselves as one of the top teams in the region. Their 18-10 record reflected their dedication, skill, and teamwork, with standout performances across the board.
A Season of High-Level Play
The Lady Colonels showcased their offensive firepower all season long, scoring 1,589 points over 28 games. Their defense was just as strong, holding opponents to 1,345 points, a testament to their ability to control games on both ends of the floor.
Shooting efficiency played a big role in their success, as they made 616 field goals at a 33.7% shooting percentage. Their ability to stretch the floor was also a factor, knocking down 108 three-pointers over the course of the season.
Free-throw shooting proved to be another key element, with the team sinking 249 total free throws, showing their ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities when it mattered most.
Standout Players and Key Contributions
Senior NeVaeh Day led the Lady Colonels with 403 points, averaging 16.1 points per game and proving to be a force inside. Anaysia Bagwell, a junior, matched her with 402 total points and the same 16.1 points per game average, making them one of the most dynamic scoring duos in the region.
Senior Lazarie Daniel was a consistent presence, adding 282 points on the season, while Carliah Hobson (106 points) and DaNiya Bradley (90 points) provided additional contributions to round out a balanced attack.

Even in the regional semifinal loss, the Lady Colonels showed their fight. Bagwell (14 points), Daniel (11 points), and Day (10 points) led the charge as Christian County battled to the final buzzer.
