Graphic Design scholars recently laced up their creativity and stepped into the world of footwear design. As part of an engaging hands-on project, students explored the fundamentals of shoe design, learning about key elements such as form, function, and style.
Beginning with pencil and paper, each student sketched original shoe concepts, drawing inspiration from current trends and personal ideas. These sketches were then brought to life using Adobe Illustrator, where students transformed their drawings into professional digital renderings.
To complete the project, students compiled their work into polished design boards, showcasing their creative vision and technical skills. The unit concluded with a gallery walk and peer critique session, giving students the opportunity to share feedback and celebrate each other’s hard work.
