A big thank you goes out to the Christian County Baseball Team for lending a helping hand at Millbrooke Elementary, moving items and offering their support with true Colonel pride! Their teamwork and willingness to step in and help is a great reminder of the impact students can have when they give back to their community.
It’s important for student-athletes to remember their former schools and the places that helped shape them into who they are today. Returning to those schools to volunteer shows younger students what leadership and community pride look like. It sets an example that being part of Christian County Public Schools is about more than academics or sports—it’s about building a stronger community together.
Moments like this matter—not just for the students directly involved, but for the community as a whole. When younger children see high school athletes coming back to help, it builds excitement and pride in being part of Christian County Public Schools. It shows them that no matter how far they go, they will always have a place in this community, and giving back is part of what makes CCPS strong. These seemingly small acts of service create lasting impressions that encourage kindness and volunteerism throughout the district.
For the community at large, this is more than just moving items around a school—it’s a reminder of the values we hold dear: teamwork, service, and pride in our schools. Every time students give their time and energy to help others, they strengthen the bonds that connect our schools and neighborhoods. The example set by the baseball team reaches beyond Millbrooke Elementary; it reflects the kind of leadership and character that make Christian County proud.
Thank you to the Christian County Baseball Team for making a difference and reminding us all that every act of service, no matter how big or small, builds a better future for our schools and our community.
