CCHS Percussion Ensemble Earns Spot at 2026 KMEA Conference

The Christian County High School Percussion Ensemble has once again earned a place on the statewide stage, having been selected to perform at the 2026 Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA) Professional Development Conference in Louisville.

This marks only the second time in school history that the ensemble has received this prestigious invitation — the first being in 2021. Under the leadership of Director Calvin Warren III, the ensemble has continued to build a reputation for excellence, artistry, and dedication to the craft.

The ensemble will perform on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 4:00 PM EST in the Hyatt Regency Ballroom in Louisville. This performance will be especially meaningful, as it comes during the final year of the Christian County High School Colonel Band program. The moment is more than just a performance — it’s a lasting piece of the band’s proud legacy and a celebration of everything the students and staff have accomplished together.

This incredible honor is a testament to the hard work, talent, and determination of our student musicians and their director. We are deeply grateful to KMEA for recognizing the Christian County Percussion Ensemble and for providing a platform to highlight the strength of music education in our community.
