CCPS Athletes Represent in Region 2 All-Star Soccer Victory

Over the weekend, three CCPS students were chosen to play in the 2nd Annual Region 2 VS. Region 3 All Star Soccer game at Apollo High School in Owensboro, KY. Participation was based on a voting system by all coaches in the region. Two Christian County High School students, senior, Christian Lopez and junior, Mason Malone were voted in. 11th grade student, Alex Ramirez represented Hopkinsville High School. Compiled from student-athletes from Webster County, Henderson County, Madisonville-North Hopkins, University Heights Academy, Christian County, and Hopkinsville High Schools, the Second Region team held strong through the first half to leave the score at 3-1 before half-time. The Third Region found their stride during the second half, but it wasn’t enough for the upset. Winning the game, the 2nd region added two more goals to have the game end 5-4.

Mason Malone: Ranked 50th for Goalkeeper Saves 142 (7.1 average per game), Ranked 23rd for Goalkeeper Complete Game Shutouts (8)
