As the new Christian County High School prepares to unite students, families, and athletic programs under one roof, the district proudly announces Coach Zach Hardison as the Head Volleyball Coach, bringing a wealth of experience, passion, and competitive excellence to the inaugural program.
Hardison enters the role with 12 years of head coaching experience, backed by a lifelong connection to the sport. His love for volleyball began in childhood, playing beside his father—also a head coach—who helped shape his early understanding of the game. That foundation sparked a coaching career rooted in skill development, teamwork, and high expectations.
Before stepping into his new role at CCHS, Hardison built a strong résumé across both school and AAU programs. He has served as an assistant coach at Apollo High School, Henderson County High School, and Daviess County High School, gaining experience in competitive environments throughout western Kentucky. His head coaching background includes more than a decade of AAU leadership, as well as high school positions at Hancock County, McLean County, and most recently Ohio County High School, where he guided the program to impressive success.
During his three-year tenure at Ohio County, Hardison led the team to two district championships and earned the title of Third Region Coach of the Year in 2024. His competitive playing experience—including years with a men’s AAU team based in Owensboro—further strengthens his understanding of the sport from every angle.
Hardison says joining Christian County High School is more than just a new coaching chapter—it’s an opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up. He shared that being selected as head coach represents the trust placed in him to help shape both athletes and future leaders. He expressed gratitude to district leadership for their confidence and enthusiasm as the volleyball program begins this historic transition.
Hardison believes strongly in what the Tigers can become. With a blend of experience, energy, and a vision for excellence, he is committed to building a program capable of competing at the highest levels year after year.
As the new Christian County High School prepares for its inaugural season, Coach Zach Hardison stands ready to lead—with a deep passion for the sport, a proven track record of success, and a belief that the Tigers volleyball program can rise quickly and boldly into Kentucky’s competitive landscape.
