Congratulations to our first “Colonel of the Week,” Peyton Owens! Peyton has shown remarkable dedication and leadership both on and off the volleyball court, making her an exemplary role model for her peers. As an athlete, she consistently brings energy, versatility, and passion to every match. Whether it’s stepping into any position the team needs or making key plays, Peyton’s name is frequently found all over the stat sheet, and her recent performance in a district win against UHA was no exception. Her ability to contribute in nearly every category on the court was crucial in driving the team to a massive victory, demonstrating her talent and her commitment to the team’s success.
Off the court, Peyton continues to shine. Her leadership extends beyond athletics as she sets a high standard in the classroom and the wider school community. Recently, Peyton attended an 8th-grade volleyball game, showing her support for the up-and-coming students in CCPS. Her presence didn’t go unnoticed, as it inspired the younger athletes, many of whom look up to her as a leader and mentor.
Crystal Richards, Website Coordinator for Christian County Middle School and Hopkinsville Middle School, praised Peyton’s involvement: “It is great to see students like Peyton out supporting the middle schoolers. It means the world to them, and as freshmen next year, these 8th graders will look up to her and follow her example.”
Peyton’s commitment to excellence in both her athletic and academic pursuits is truly commendable. She embodies the spirit of what it means to be a Colonel—showing dedication, resilience, and leadership in all that she does. We are incredibly proud of her and look forward to seeing all the amazing things she will continue to achieve.
Congratulations once again to Peyton Owens, our first “Colonel of the Week!” Keep setting the bar high, Peyton, and inspire those around you!
