Colonels Power Past Eagles in 9-6 Victory

The Christian County Colonels baseball team delivered a strong all-around performance Thursday night, defeating the Graves County Eagles 9-6 in a thrilling road win that showcased the team’s resilience, depth, and discipline.

The Colonels came out focused and ready to attack early, putting two runs on the board in the first inning thanks to smart baserunning and patience at the plate. Eddie Davis drew a bases-loaded walk to kick off the scoring, setting the tone for a disciplined offensive outing.

After falling behind 4-2 in the bottom of the second, the Colonels responded like a veteran team. In the top of the third, Leland Creamer drew a walk to bring in a run before Thad Tolliver stepped up with a clutch single, driving in two more and reclaiming the lead at 5-4. The team never looked back.

On the mound, Davis earned the win, grinding through four innings and keeping the Colonels in control. In relief, Sebastian Dazey was dominant—pitching three scoreless innings, striking out four, and allowing just two hits with no walks.

Offensively, the Colonels racked up 13 hits in the win. Blake Boehman led the way, going 3-for-5, while Dazey, Gage Montes, and Aiden Lewis all turned in multi-hit performances. Tolliver drove in three runs from the eight spot, showing the team’s offensive depth.

Christian County’s discipline at the plate was a key factor, drawing eight walks on the night. Creamer alone worked three free passes. Defensively, the Colonels were flawless, committing no errors. Lewis anchored the field with a team-high 10 chances.

With the win, the Colonels continue to build momentum and confidence. They head to Paducah Tilghman on Friday looking to keep their winning ways alive.

This team is showing exactly what it means to play with heart, hustle, and consistency—Colonel baseball is on the rise.
