FCCLA Members Ring in the Holiday Spirit for Salvation Army

This holiday season, members of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) embraced the spirit of giving by volunteering as bell ringers for the Salvation Army. The event took place at Kroger, with students and instructors coming together to raise funds for this cherished holiday tradition.

The initiative was led by Matt Adams, who heads up the Teaching and Learning Pathway, and Rayven Bettis, the head teacher of the Early Childhood Pathway. Their leadership inspired students to take part in this meaningful cause, embodying the principles of service and community engagement that are central to FCCLA’s mission.

Among the volunteers, student Jennifer Stokes brought a festive twist to the evening by dressing in a Bucky Beaver onesie, adding a touch of fun and holiday cheer as shoppers passed by.

The Salvation Army’s bell-ringing campaign is a nationwide tradition aimed at supporting individuals and families in need, particularly during the holiday season. The FCCLA members’ efforts contributed to this impactful cause, showcasing their commitment to making a positive difference in their community.

By dedicating their time and energy, these students and their instructors highlighted the values of leadership, compassion, and service, reminding everyone of the true spirit of the holidays.
