It’s been an exciting week for Gateway Academy as the Ambassador/Scholar Voice team kicked off their year with a day of bonding and team building at Christian Way Farm. This experience allowed the group to connect, socialize, and strengthen their teamwork skills, all while preparing to serve as the face and voice of Gateway Academy.
Who Are the Gateway Ambassadors?
The Gateway Ambassadors are a select group of scholars who represent Gateway Academy at community events and serve as tour guides during on-campus activities. To fulfill their roles effectively, Ambassadors learn about:
- Gateway History
- Programs and Pathways
- Teachers and Staff
- School Procedures
This knowledge equips them to share Gateway’s story with community members and visitors, showcasing the academy’s mission, opportunities, and impact.
In addition to their external responsibilities, the Ambassadors serve as a vital connection between the Scholar Voice team and school administrators. By sharing student perspectives and feedback, they help ensure that Gateway Academy continues to grow as a welcoming and supportive environment for all.
The Selection Process
Becoming a Gateway Ambassador is a privilege. Scholars must go through an application process and are chosen based on their passion for Gateway Academy and recommendations from teachers who recognize their leadership potential.
