Excellence in creativity and design was on full display as Diera English earned 1st place in the Line and Brush category at the Kentucky STLP State Championship.
Representing Gateway Academy and the Media Arts pathway, Diera showcased her artistic talent and precision in a highly competitive field of student creators from across the state. The Line and Brush category highlights strong technique, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate visually—skills that Diera demonstrated at an elite level.
Beyond the classroom, Diera is also gaining valuable real-world experience as a co-op student with the historic Alhambra Theatre in downtown Hopkinsville. Her work there allows her to continue developing her creative voice while contributing to one of the community’s most treasured arts venues.
Diera’s achievement at the state level reflects the strength of Gateway’s Media Arts program and the dedication of its students to mastering their craft. Her success is not only a personal accomplishment but also a proud moment for the Gateway community and Christian County Public Schools.
As Gateway scholars continue to create, innovate, and lead, Diera English’s 1st place finish stands as a reminder of what is possible when talent meets opportunity on a statewide stage.
