Christian County Public Schools is excited to announce the launch of the Girls Basketball Academy, a new addition to this year’s Jr. Pro Basketball Program at the Hopkinsville SportsPlex.
The Jr. Pro Girls Basketball Academy is designed for young athletes in grades K–6 and focuses on player development, hands-on training, and opportunities for competition. Participants will take part in drills, games, and exercises that strengthen basketball fundamentals, enhance basketball IQ, and help each player grow into a more complete athlete.
All instruction will be provided by Christian County basketball coaches and volunteers, who bring intentional teaching tailored to each player’s age and skill level. The emphasis will be on teamwork, fundamentals, and fun, ensuring a positive experience for every participant.
Unlike traditional team play, the Girls Basketball Academy will not field independent teams. Instead, athletes will participate in weekly skill-based practices, scrimmages, and competitions that allow for growth in a variety of training formats.
