Last Thursday, Christian County Public Schools (CCPS) celebrated the hard work and dedication of over 140 construction workers who are transforming the vision of the new Christian County High School into reality. These men and women were honored with a special Thanksgiving lunch, a heartfelt gesture to express our immense gratitude for their contribution to our community’s future.
The work these builders do goes far beyond laying bricks and beams. They are crafting spaces where dreams will take flight, where the next generation of students will learn, grow, and thrive. Their precision, dedication, and tireless effort ensure that the new Christian County High School is not just a structure but a cornerstone of our community’s growth and development.
Construction workers are often the unsung heroes of progress. Their expertise doesn’t just build schools—it builds communities. These same men and women contribute to projects across our area, constructing hospitals that heal, homes that shelter, roads that connect us, and facilities that enrich our daily lives. They play a vital role in upgrading our community and improving the quality of life for everyone. Without their hands-on work, many of the advancements we enjoy today wouldn’t be possible.
CCPS also extends a huge thank-you to the team at Bluegrass Learning Academy, who went above and beyond by preparing additional lunches to ensure no one was left out. Food Service Director Penny Holt deserves special recognition for personally delivering these meals to the job site, underscoring the spirit of teamwork and gratitude that defines our district.
As we celebrate this season of thanks, it’s important to recognize the vital contributions of these individuals. Their craftsmanship, commitment, and community spirit are instrumental in shaping the places where we live, work, and learn. Together, we are building more than a school—we’re building a stronger, brighter future for everyone in Christian County and beyond.
From all of us at CCPS, thank you for your hard work, your skill, and your dedication. Here’s to continuing the journey of progress and creating phenomenal spaces that enrich lives.
