HHS Business Titan of the Week: Layla Smith

Hopkinsville High School senior Layla Smith has been named the HHS Business Titan of the Week, recognized for her strong leadership, academic dedication, and accomplishments in the Business pathway.

Layla has worked hard to build an impressive list of certifications and leadership experiences during her time at Hopkinsville High. She has earned certifications in ASK Fundamental Business Concepts, ASK Concepts of Entrepreneurship, and ASK Concepts of Business Management, demonstrating her growing knowledge of the world of business and entrepreneurship. She has also earned Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint Certifications, giving her valuable technical skills that will serve her well in college and future careers.

Beyond the classroom, Layla has taken on important leadership roles within the school community. She currently serves as the Secretary for Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and is the Vice President of the Black Students Union, where she helps organize activities and support fellow students.

Layla recently represented Hopkinsville High School at the FBLA Region 1 Leadership Conference at Murray State University on March 2, where she earned outstanding results in competition. She placed 2nd in Local Chapter Newsletter and 5th in Healthcare Administration. Her strong performance also earned her advancement to the FBLA State Conference in the Local Chapter Newsletter event.

Layla’s achievements reflect her commitment to leadership, professionalism, and academic excellence. Hopkinsville High School is proud to recognize her as this week’s Business Titan of the Week.
