HMS Band Members win Grand Champion as part of HHS Band of Tigers

Seventeen of our incredibly talented Hopkinsville Middle School (HMS) Band members, who proudly represent Hopkinsville High School (HHS) as part of the HHS Marching Band, delivered a performance for the ages this past weekend. Competing against ten high school bands at the Logan County Festival of Bands, these dedicated students played their hearts out, helping the HHS Marching Band capture the prestigious title of Grand Champion. Their success is a testament to countless hours of practice, teamwork, and commitment.

The Logan County Festival of Bands is one of the most competitive events in the region, and being crowned Grand Champion is a remarkable achievement. The students put on a phenomenal show, with outstanding contributions from both middle school and high school members, proving that music education in our schools continues to thrive.

Our HMS students not only showcased their musical skills, but they also represented their school and community with pride, contributing to an award-winning ensemble. Their dedication to excellence at such a young age is truly inspiring, and we are beyond proud of their accomplishments.

Next up, these talented students will be performing at Murray State University’s “Festival of Champions” in Murray, KY, on Saturday, September 28. This prestigious event will offer them another opportunity to display their talents on a bigger stage. We encourage everyone in the community to come out and support these young musicians as they continue their journey toward musical excellence.
