Hopkinsville High School baseball alumnus and Class of 2024 graduate JJ Thompson made a strong impression in his collegiate debut, earning his first career win for the Wright State University Raiders.
Pitching against conference opponent Oakland, Thompson entered the game in the fourth inning and delivered an outstanding performance. Over three innings, he allowed just one hit, issued no walks, and recorded two strikeouts, helping secure a key win for the Raiders.
Thompson’s calm presence and sharp command on the mound reflect the same poise and talent he displayed during his time at Hopkinsville High School. His early success at the college level is a proud moment for the Tiger baseball program and a testament to the work ethic and preparation he developed as a student-athlete in Christian County.
Congratulations to JJ Thompson on this exciting milestone—we’ll be cheering him on as he continues his journey with Wright State.
