Christian County Public Schools District Activities Director Kerry Stovall and Hopkinsville High School Athletic Director Jacob Ezell have announced the hiring of Kwesi Boafo as the new head coach of the Christian County High School and Hopkinsville High School cross country programs.
Boafo, a former cross country runner, brings a strong combination of athletic experience and academic expertise to the role. With a master’s degree in biology and over two years of experience as a physiotherapy assistant, he offers athletes valuable knowledge in injury prevention, physical conditioning, and human performance. His approach to coaching focuses on developing well-rounded athletes, emphasizing well-being, resilience, and intentional training to help runners reach their full potential.
“This is a very exciting hire for both Christian County and Hopkinsville High Schools,” said HHS Athletic Director Jacob Ezell. “Coach Boafo brings a passion for the sport and a commitment to student growth on and off the field. His firsthand experience as a runner, combined with his background in physical training and injury prevention, brings a valuable perspective to our athletes.”
Boafo is set to begin preparing the cross country teams for the upcoming season, with the goal of building competitive programs while fostering a positive and supportive environment for student-athletes.
