The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers celebrated Senior Night with a special focus on their lone senior, Rebecca Wood, and she certainly went out with a bang. Under the guidance of Coach Jeff Addison, the all-time winning girls’ soccer coach in Hopkinsville history, Wood dominated the field, scoring an incredible four goals and adding one assist, finishing the night with a total of 9 points. Her remarkable performance led the Lady Tigers to a commanding victory, capping off her high school soccer career in style.
Though the spotlight was on Wood as the only senior, her teammates played crucial roles in supporting the team’s success. Kaylyn Burgess Lynch contributed two goals and an assist, earning 5 points, while Lauren Mayes netted one goal and provided two assists for a total of 4 points. Additional contributions came from Jessica Rodriguez, Azaa Enkhtugs, and Aubriana Johnson, showcasing the teamwork that has defined the Lady Tigers all season.
Coach Jeff Addison’s leadership has once again proven essential in guiding the team through key moments, with this Senior Night win being a testament to his and Wood’s dedication to the program.
