Tigers Dominate Union County, Extend Winning Streak to Three

The Hopkinsville High School boys’ soccer team continued their hot streak Saturday afternoon at the Stadium of Champions, defeating Union County in decisive fashion with a 9-1 victory. The win marks the Tigers’ third straight, with each of those victories featuring at least three goals scored.

Offensive Firepower

Leading the charge for Hopkinsville was Alex Ramirez, who found the back of the net four times to set the tone for the Tigers’ explosive day. Jason Macario added two goals, while Rayan Bernal, Trieu Nguyen, and Cesar Sotelo each chipped in one goal to round out the scoring attack.

The Tigers also displayed strong teamwork with Erick Hernandez and Jason Macario dishing out two assists apiece. Lester Macario, Mikel Ramirez, and Trieu Nguyen each added an assist, helping spread the offense across the field.

Defensive Stand

On the other end, goalkeeper Raul Rivera kept Union County’s offense under control. Rivera finished the match with six saves, ensuring the Tigers stayed firmly in control throughout the afternoon.

Looking Ahead

With the victory, Hopkinsville improves to 7-4-1 on the season. The Tigers now turn their focus to a key district matchup on Tuesday night when they take on University Heights Academy, a contest that will carry major implications as postseason play approaches.
