This week’s Workforce Wednesday spotlight shines on Kaileigh Thompson, a Health Science student from Christian County Public Schools, who is gaining meaningful, real-world experience through her placement at Hearing Services of Kentucky.
Locally owned and operated, Hearing Services of Kentucky isn’t just a business—it’s a lifeline for so many in our community. Their team brings hope and connection to those who are hard of hearing or hearing impaired, helping individuals rediscover the sounds of life that many take for granted.
Kaileigh’s experience there goes beyond the technical side of healthcare. She’s learning the true heart of patient care—empathy, patience, and the importance of communication. Working alongside a supportive and knowledgeable staff, she’s seeing how healthcare professionals can change lives through compassion and skill.
For Kaileigh, this opportunity provides a firsthand look at what it means to serve others, while building confidence and career readiness for her future in the medical field.
As someone who became a patient of Hearing Services of Kentucky last April, I can personally attest to the incredible work this team does every single day. Their kindness, professionalism, and dedication are unmatched—and we’re so grateful they’ve chosen to invest in our young people by mentoring future healthcare workers like Kaileigh.
Thank you to the entire Hearing Services of Kentucky team for your ongoing commitment to both this community and our students. You’re helping shape the next generation of healthcare heroes.
