Workforce Wednesday: Savior Davis — Where Law Meets Technology

Hopkinsville High School Computer Science Pathway student Savior Davis is gaining real-world experience in a setting most people wouldn’t expect — a law office. Savior works at James E. Bruce, Jr., Attorney at Law, a firm that combines the latest technology with decades of experience to provide innovative and consistent legal representation for the Hopkinsville community.

At first glance, law and computer science might seem worlds apart. But in today’s digital world, they’re closer than ever. Law offices depend on databases, cybersecurity systems, and digital communication tools to manage client information and streamline workflow. Working in this environment allows Savior to see firsthand how technology supports a professional field built on confidentiality, accuracy, and trust.

In his role, Savior is gaining valuable experience in data management, digital organization, and secure file handling — essential skills for both computer science and information technology careers. He’s also developing a deeper understanding of how data privacy and cybersecurity play a vital role in protecting sensitive client information.

The partnership between local businesses and Christian County Public Schools continues to create meaningful opportunities for students like Savior. With 114 co-op students placed across 70 different businesses, these experiences help young professionals practice being adults, take ownership of their work, and become accountable, career-ready individuals.

A special thank you to James E. Bruce, Jr., Attorney at Law, for helping shape the next generation of professionals and showing how technology and law can work hand in hand to make a difference.
