Did you know that Christian County Public Schools is the second largest employer of Co-op Work-Based Learning students? There’s a reason for that! We know how valuable it is to teach soft skills and employability skills—and we also know how amazing our CCPS students are. When given the chance, they prove time and again that they are capable, responsible, and ready to lead.
This week, we are celebrating three outstanding Hopkinsville High School students who are gaining hands-on experience with our littlest learners at MLK, Jr. Early Learning Center and Inspire Learning Academy. These scholars are building the skills that will carry them into future careers in teaching, childcare, and human services:

Car’Laeja Chambers – HHS student in the Family and Consumer Science Pathway
Every day, these young women are practicing the art of guiding, caring for, and supporting early learners. They are developing patience, communication skills, responsibility, and the confidence to step into future roles as educators and leaders. By working alongside the talented staff at MLK, Jr. and Inspire, they are not only learning about child development in theory—they are experiencing it in action.

Adrianna Nosbusch – HHS student in the Teaching and Learning Pathway
Why does this matter? Because the need for compassionate, skilled educators has never been greater. Through opportunities like this, our students are being prepared to step into classrooms and childcare settings with the training and real-world practice that make all the difference. They’re seeing how powerful it is to nurture a child’s growth and how meaningful it is to be part of someone’s very first educational experience.
We are so thankful to Principal Kim Lint and her dedicated staff at MLK, Jr. Early Learning Center and Inspire Learning Academy for mentoring our scholars and giving them a place to shine. Partnerships like these remind us that preparing students for the future doesn’t just happen in textbooks—it happens through experiences that connect them to the heart of our community.

Jennifer Stokes – HHS Work Experience Student
✨ Stay tuned to find out which other schools are investing in our scholars through Co-op Work-Based Learning. Together, we’re preparing the next generation of educators right here in Christian County!
