CCHS Summer Shootout Starts Tomorrow

The sounds of basketball will once again echo across Christian County as some of the region’s top boys and girls basketball programs travel to Christian County High School, Christian County Middle School, and the Hopkinsville Sportsplex for the 2026 Christian County Summer Shootout on June 1-3.

The three-day event will feature dozens of games, giving fans their first look at many teams as they begin preparing for the upcoming season. Programs from across western Kentucky and neighboring areas will compete in varsity, junior varsity, and freshman contests, creating one of the largest summer basketball events in the region.

For Christian County fans, the Summer Shootout offers an exciting opportunity to see the future of Tiger basketball on display. The Tigers will take the court throughout the event at the varsity, junior varsity, freshman, and girls levels, facing quality opponents from schools such as Bowling Green, Marshall County, McCracken County, Fort Campbell, Allen County-Scottsville, Webster County, and many others.

On the boys side, fans can expect to see several returning players take on larger roles as Christian County continues building toward the inaugural season of the new Christian County High School. Summer basketball provides coaches with an opportunity to evaluate lineups, develop chemistry, and give younger players valuable game experience against strong competition.

The girls programs will also be heavily featured throughout the event. Matchups involving Christian County, Allen County-Scottsville, Webster County, Trigg County, Hopkins County Central, and other regional powers should provide a preview of what promises to be an exciting season across western Kentucky.

Beyond the scores, summer basketball is often about growth. Coaches use these games to evaluate talent, experiment with different rotations, and challenge players in game situations. Fans can expect a fast-paced atmosphere as teams work to establish their identities before the start of the regular season.

The event also provides a chance for the community to rally behind the new Tigers. As Christian County High School prepares for its first year, the Summer Shootout serves as another opportunity for student-athletes, families, and fans to come together under one banner.

Whether you’re following the Tigers, scouting future opponents, or simply enjoying high-level basketball, the Christian County Summer Shootout promises three days filled with competition, energy, and excitement.

With teams from across the region converging on Christian County, basketball fans won’t want to miss this early glimpse of what could be an exciting 2026-27 season.
