Twelve members of the Hopkinsville FFA Chapter had an unforgettable experience at the 97th National FFA Convention & Expo held in Indianapolis, Indiana. The trip, filled with educational activities, professional networking, and unforgettable moments, gave students a firsthand look at the vast world of agriculture and the community surrounding it. Here are the highlights of their journey:
Wednesday, October 23rd:
The trip kicked off early as Hopkinsville FFA members departed for Joe Huber’s Farm, a well-loved agritourism site renowned for its farm-to-table meals. After enjoying the farm’s unique offerings, the group continued their adventure at the Louisville Zoo. The day concluded with an evening visit to the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, where students marveled at an impressive array of pumpkin carvings created by talented artists.
Thursday, October 24th:
The FFA members rose early to attend the convention’s opening General Session, joining an estimated 70,000 FFA members and guests. Amid this vast gathering, students had the opportunity to meet members from across the country and establish valuable professional connections at the Career Exposition. They ended the day with some Halloween fun at Fright Manor, enjoying a well-deserved break after a day of networking and learning.
