CCHS Senior Rhianna Harrell Selected for Kentucky Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council

Christian County High School senior Rhianna Harrell has been selected to serve on the 2026-2027 Kentucky Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council (CSAC), a prestigious statewide leadership group that gives students a direct voice in shaping the future of education across the Commonwealth.

Harrell was one of only 16 new members selected from approximately 70 applicants across Kentucky. The council works closely with the Kentucky Department of Education and Commissioner of Education Robbie Fletcher to provide student feedback on issues impacting schools and students throughout the state.

As a member of the council, Harrell will participate in regular meetings with education leaders, both virtually and in person, helping ensure that student perspectives are included in discussions about educational policies, programs, and opportunities. The council was established to strengthen student voice and create meaningful connections between Kentucky students and state education officials.

Being selected for the Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council is a significant honor and reflects Harrell’s leadership, commitment to education, and dedication to representing her peers.

“We are incredibly proud to congratulate Rhianna Harrell on her appointment to the Kentucky Commissioner of Education’s Student Advisory Council,” said Superintendent Chris Bentzel. “Her willingness to share her perspective and advocate for students will make her a valuable contributor to the work of the Kentucky Department of Education. We are confident that Rhianna will represent our school, our district, and the Commonwealth with professionalism and distinction. We congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to the positive impact she will make through her service.”

Harrell’s selection highlights the leadership opportunities available to students at Christian County High School and provides a platform for her to help influence conversations that affect students across Kentucky. As she begins her service on the council this school year, she will represent not only Christian County High School, but also the voices and experiences of students throughout our region.

Congratulations to Rhianna on this outstanding achievement and this opportunity to help shape the future of education in Kentucky.
